Echoes of War

In lands where ancient stories intertwine,
A tragic tale unfolds through endless time.
The Middle East, where sorrow's shadows cast,
A war-torn region, locked in the past.

In shadows deep, where horrors dwell,
The toll of war, a mournful death-bell,
Innocence and peace betrayed,
By conflicts that refuse to fade.

Children, innocent and pure,
Innocence is lost and dreams no longer endure,
Innocent eyes, everywhere now haunted by fears,
As war's cruel echoes reach their ears.
Beneath the cruel and relentless roar,
Animals, too, their suffering bore,
Innocent creatures caught in the strife,
Silent victims of such tragic life.

Innocent lands once rich and green,
Now ravaged by war's relentless sheen,
Nature weeps, as forests turn to ash,
And waters run blood red in a toxic splash.
The innocent Earth, a casualty too,
Polluted skies, murky seas,
A price too high, for power and pride,
Mother Nature's tears cannot be hidden.
But through the darkness, there's a spark,
A plea for peace, a hopeful remark,
Innocence may be torn asunder,
But unity can heal and rumble.

Let us strive for a world reborn,
Where innocence is not a pawn,
A world where peace and love can reign,
And war's bitter legacy, we'll disdain.

Innocence lost, we must remember,
To build a world more kind and tender,
For children, animals, and Mother Earth,
So all may know a life of mirth.

Let the echoes of war be our guide,
To a world where love and peace reside,
A world where innocence can thrive,
And the cruel echoes of war, we'll contrive.
